Enugu state Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu, has ordered a full-scale investigation into circumstances surrounding the death of a 20-year-old lady identified as Orji Chiamaka Precious Gold.
The young lady was found lifeless inside an open road side flood gutter in Enugu state on Monday, March 29.
According to reports, the deceased was identified as a student of the Institute of Management Technology, IMT, department of Science Laboratory Technology (SLT), and the incident happened around Roots Cafe opposite Spar Shopping mall in Enugu State.
Sharing the photos of Chiamaka’s lifeless body on Facebook, one Moses Ebube wrote;
Found dead this morning around Roots cafe opposite spar shopping mall Enugu Inside gutter share as you receive to reach her people.
Confirming the incident, Enugu police command’s public relations officer, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, said her body was evacuated to the hospital, following information received in the early hours of Monday by officers attached to New Haven Police Division.
Ndukwe said the doctors on duty confirmed her dead while the corpse was deposited in the mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
The police spokesperson added that two persons have been arrested and are being investigated to ascertain their culpability or otherwise, in the death of the young lady.
