Mohammed expressed;

I am really delighted to see my little Hawa’u back as a normal person, an innocent six-year-old that was mercilessly mutilated in her genitals and rooted. Today we are receiving her. It’s a miracle that she’s a normal person, so, we must thank God almighty for this.

The Commissioner for Health had said all the stages of her reconstruction, all the surgeries were successful. God has answered our prayers; it is not everyone that can be so lucky like little Hawa’u.

Governor Bala, who stated that communities must stand up to stop “this dehumanising act of savagery”, said the government could not do it alone.

He advised the parents to make sure that they don’t allow little Hawa’u to be alone or to be sent on errands or to be out of school.

On her part, the First Lady used the occasion to call on parents to be more vigilant on their wards since the society was no longer friendly towards children.

She added that the responsibility of the state government to protect lives and prosperity were rather a collective one.
