Gunman Who Shot 8 People Dead At Indianapolis FedEX Facility Identified As A 19-Year-Old Former Employee
Authorities in Indianapolis have identified the gunman who shot eight people dead at FedEx facility as Brandon Hole, a 19-year-old former employee of the company.
Indianapolis Deputy Police Chief, Craig McCartt identified the shooter at a news conference on Friday evening, revealing investigators searched a home in the city associated with Hole and seized evidence, including desktop computers and other electronic media.

FedEx officials say Hole was a former employee at the facility who last worked there from August to October 2020, according to authorities, who added that there were at least 100 people in the building at the time of the shooting.
Law-enforcement officials stated that he was temporarily committed last year for mental-health problems.
Federal Bureau of Investigation also confiscated a gun from him last year and interviewed him after his mother contacted law enforcement.
According to reports, Hole around 11 p.m. Thursday arrived at FedEx Ground facility’s parking space, got out of his car and started shooting at people. The man then entered the building, shooting at more people before killing himself.
Hole reportedly used a rifle to kill eight people and injured many others at a FedEx facility near Indianapolis airport, before turning the gun on himself.
Four people with gunshot wounds were taken to local hospitals, and a fifth person shot in the attack sought medical attention in another county, police said.
Two others were treated at the scene and released. Of the deceased, four were found in the parking lot and four inside the facility.
When police arrived, they found “an active and chaotic crime scene,” Deputy Chief McCartt said. The incident lasted only a few minutes, and by the time police went inside the facility, “the situation was over,” he said.
Also, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Chief, Randal Taylor said, “When they arrived on the scene, they found something that really no one should see.”
The suspect used a rifle, police said. Police and local FBI agents were searching a couple of locations and a car related to Hole, they said.
According to police, the victims include Matthew Alexander, 32 years old; Samaria Blackwell, 19; Amarjeet Johal, 66; Jaswinder Kaur, 64; Jaswinder Singh, 68; Amarjit Sekhon, 48; Karli Smith, 19; and John Weisert, 74.
Among those killed were at least four members of Sikh community, according to Sikh Coalition, a national advocacy group, and executive director of the body, Satjeet Kaur said the coalition is in touch with law-enforcement officials.
