Singer, Peter Okoye of the defunct- PSquare group, has in an interview narrated how he met his wife of over seven years, Lola Omotayo.
In an interview with Adesope Olajide, UK-based Nigerian media personality, Mr P as he is now known revealed that his wife initiated Psquare’s first performance in Lagos state, as they were not based in the state at the time.

According to him, their former manager gave her their CD and she fell in love with their songs.
He also disclosed that Lola then ensured that they always performed at every function the agency she was working with organizes.
However, after their relationship with their former manager went sour, Peter said they had to find a way to establish a new relationship with Lola who was working at Anthony in Lagos at that time.

He concluded by saying that ‘PSquare’ should be grateful to Lola, who he eventually married.
Peter Okoye and Lola Omotayo dated for seven years before finally getting engaged and getting married.
On 17th of November 2013, the traditional wedding ceremony between Pete and Lola took place at Ark Event Centre, Lekki in Lagos state and it was star-studded. They are blessed with two children – Cameron and Aliona.
