However, few weeks after their Twitter drama, a disturbing video of them having a physical fight in an elevator, before they split, surfaced online.
In the video, which was captured by an elevator camera at an apartment complex in North Hollywood, the former couple could be seen standing outside an open elevator before Saweetie, 27, throws the first swing.
The Migos rapper, Quavo dodges the hit, dropping an orange Call of Duty box in the process, which Saweetie tries to pick up. Quavo grabs it, and as they struggle for the case, he grabs her arm and swings her into the back elevator wall, then they both go down.

The video then showed the Saweetie laying on the ground, possibly with an injury while he stood next to her. The rapper didn’t help her up and looked down at her several times.
The video sparked conversations on Twitter as some alleged that Quavo physically abused his ex-girlfriend, while others claimed Saweetie launched an attack on him first.
Reacting to the viral video on Thursday, Saweetie told TMZ that the incident happened a year ago and they moved past it.
She expressed;
This unfortunate incident happened a year ago, while we have reconciled since then and moved past this particular disagreement, there were simply too many other hurdles to overcome in our relationship and we have both since moved on.
Shortly after, Quavo also spoke out for the first time since video of their elevator altercation hit the internet.
Also speaking to TMZ, he said he has never physically abused his former girlfriend, stressing;
We had an unfortunate situation almost a year ago that we both learned and moved on from. I haven’t physically abused Saweetie and have real gratitude for what we did share overall.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles Police Department detectives have launched an investigation into the fracas between the duo.
Authorities want to speak with Quavo and Saweetie separately and then decide if there is enough evidence of domestic dispute to forward the case to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office, Page Six reports.
