Wizkid’s Manager, Jada Pollock Reacts To Cloning Of ‘Made In Lagos’ Album By Upcoming Artiste, Wisekid
Jada Pollock, manager of Wizkid, has reacted to the cloning of the Afrobeat singer’s 2020 album, ‘Made In Lagos’ by an upcoming artiste named Wisekid.
It would be recalled that MDB earlier reported how Wisekid was alleged to have made about N30 million monthly from cloning Wizkid’s 4th studio album.
Wisekid, whose stage name is an imitation of Wizkid’s, released an album with the title ‘Lasgidi Made’, a localised alteration of the ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner’s album title. He then went ahead to dub the names of Wizkid’s tracks.
In the wake of the heated criticism that trailed Wisekid, Pollock took to her Twitter handle on Wednesday to point out that calls to address the issue have not gone unnoticed.
Pollock, who doubles as the mother of the singer’s third son, said her team has been working to take down all imitations of Wizkid’s works.
She wrote;
RCA have been actively working on taking down the illegal uploads across all digital platforms from yesterday morning.
Relating to the fraudulent “Wisekid” account. Thank you Wizkid FC for your dedication and patience. It does not go unnoticed.

Wisekid has denied the claims of copyright infringement against him, noting that Freeme Digital, a distribution company, handles the distribution of his songs.
In response, the music firm stated that ‘Lasgidi Made’ was not distributed on its platform and has vowed to remove the rest of Wisekid’s content on its platform.
It stated;
It has come to our notice that an artiste by the name of Wisekid claims to distribute an album titled ‘Lasgidi Made’ with our organization.
While it is true that he distributes some of his contents through our organisation, we will like to make it categorically clear that the said, ‘Lasgidi Made’ album was not distributed via our platform.
We will be deleting the rest of Wisekid’s content on our platform and we have informed our legal team to immediately commence investigation on the issue and prosecute the matter to the full extent of the law.
