Lagos State police command has said it is unaware of bail granted to embattled Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju James Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha.
MDB earlier reported that the legal team of the comic actor led by lawyer, Adesina Ogunlana, on Monday evening announced that he had been granted bail on poor health grounds.

Among the bail conditions listed by the lawyer for Baba Ijesha’s release are two reliable sureties – one of them must be a level-10 officer and the second, a direct blood relation, with N500,000 bail bond in like sum.
It was gathered Baba Ijesha was granted bail when magistrates went around police stations across the State, hearing cases of some suspects.
The team, however, noted that he was yet to be released because they had yet to perfect his bail with police at State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti in Yaba, as at Monday evening.

Meanwhile, according to TribuneOnline, the spokesperson of the state police command, Muyiwa Adejobi, said: “Well, I am not aware of the bail.”
When promoted further to speak on the reported release of the suspect, Adejobi said: “I am not aware, it is not in my knowledge.”

He stated;
We just saw reports that he has been granted bail. Well, I am not aware of the bail and the command has not received any notice based on the issue. I am not aware and it is not in my knowledge.
