Breaking: Chelsea Beat Real Madrid To Reach Champions League Final
Chelsea have on Wednesday beaten Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final, setting up an all-English final against Manchester City.
They beat the Spanish side 2-0 in west London with goals from Timo Werner and Mason Mount.
Thomas Tuchel’s hosts took the lead on aggregate after last week’s 1-1 first-leg draw in the 28th minute at Stamford Bridge when Werner nodded in, and Mount secured Chelsea a spot in their third Champions League final with five minutes to play.
After a 1-1 draw in the away leg, Chelsea were on top throughout against a lacklustre Madrid side who created very little.
In contrast, Chelsea had a clutch of good chances and could have won by many more.
More details to come.
