Former Nigeria’s Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, is alive and healthy as against rumours of his death in some quarters.
Earlier today, news circulated across some platforms (not MDB) on the demise of the former Head of State.
However, one of his media aides, Mahmud Abdullahi, in an interview with TheNation said death cannot be hidden in the north.
According to him, if the former President is dead, the news would not be hidden and cannot be hidden.
He said it was high time people stopped spreading false information, stressing if Babangida was dead, the news would not be hidden from anyone.
Also, sources from the Uphill residence of the former President told the publication that Babangida is hale and hearty.
Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida popularly known as IBB is a retired Nigerian Army general who ruled the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 27 August 1985 until his resignation in August 1993.
His years in power, colloquially known as the Babangida Era, are considered one of the most controversial in the military history of the country, and characterized by a burgeoning political culture of corruption in Nigeria.
