Military Takes Over Site Of Plane Crash, AIB To Commence Investigation (Video)
Site where Nigerian Airforce plane crashed on Friday evening at Kaduna International Airport have reportedly been cordoned off by soldiers.
The plane which had on board Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru, his aides and some other senior army officers crashed near the airport’s active runway, leaving all eleven people on board dead.

Speaking to ChannelsTV, manager of Kaduna International Airport, Amina Salami, said the military authorities have taken over the crash site.
She added that they have prevented civil aviation officials from gaining access to the crash site pending the arrival of officials from Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB).
Salami explained that the military plane was initially scheduled to land at Nigerian Airforce Base in Mando area, but was later diverted to Kaduna airport due to poor weather conditions.

Although Defence Headquarters had blamed bad weather for the plane crash, the airport manager said only Accident Investigation Bureau will determine the actual cause of to crash.
