Two Feared Dead As Explosion Rocks Obasanjo’s Library In Abeokuta
There was an explosion at Olúségun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, Ogun state on Thursday, leaving two persons dead.
The explosion reportedly occurred around 11 am at Marcque event centre within the Presidential Library.
According to ThePunch, a routine cleaning was being done while one of the gas cylinders in the event centre exploded.
A worker at OOPL who spoke to newsmen in animosity said two people have been confirmed dead following the incident.

The two gates leading into OOPL were shut while the security guards at the gate are currently turning visitors back.
An eyewitness told newsmen that the bodies have been taken to the hospital by a rescue team that arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and that the State Fire Service were in premises to put the situation under control.

The incident took place about two days after Conference Hotel in Abeokuta owned by former Governor, Gbenga Daniel, was hit by explosion, killing two and injuring three others.
Also, last Wednesday, three persons, including an infant were burnt to death in a gas explosion that occurred in Oke-Egunyan, along NTA Road in Abeokuta when a technician was topping up the gas of faulty refrigerator.
Barely 24 hours after the incident, another gas explosion occurred on Mercy Road, Panseke, Abeokuta where a technician, Sanya Shonde was injured which later led to the amputation of his leg.
