Omoyeni ‘Yeni’ Anikulapo-Kuti, eldest child of legendary singer Fela Kuti, has denied media reports claiming her brother, Seun, disrespected Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu at her 60th birthday party which held in the state last night, May 24.
It would be recalled that the dancer and singer celebrated her diamond jubilee yesterday, May 24th 2021.

However, a video from the birthday party showing Seun Kuti in an angry mood in the presence of his older siblings, Femi and Yeni as well as Governor Sanwo-Olu has gone viral online.
A media outlet reported that Seun, who is the pioneer of Nigerian Resistance Movement, expressed his displeasure with Sanwo-Olu’s attendance by raising two middle fingers and walking out on the Governor after he showed up to felicitate with his sister.
He was later brought back to the venue by his elder brother, Femi Kuti who tried to douse the tension.
Reacting to the claim via Twitter, Yeni gave an explanation as to why Seun was angry at the party and dismissed insinuations that he was disrespectful to the governor.
She stated;
What happened was that the security detail in the course of doing their duty pushed his wife. He got upset at them understandably so, not the Governor. He even explained to the governor. I beg o! He has home training. @RealSeunKuti
