Marvel Studio, American film company, has begun filming the highly anticipated movie ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’.
The film, which is a sequel to the record-breaking ‘Black Panther’ (2018), has hit the production stage at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta on Tuesday.
Marvel Studios Chief, Kevin Feige, broke the news to Variety at a global fan event in Los Angeles.
He said the atmosphere among the cast and director, Ryan Coogler is “clearly very emotional” without the franchise’s star Chadwick Boseman, who tragically died last year after a four-year battle with colon cancer.

He expressed;
It’s clearly very emotional without Chad. But everyone is also very excited to bring the world of Wakanda back to the public and back to the fans. We’re going to do it in a way that would make Chad proud.
With the plot still in wrap, stars like Letitia Wright, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, and Martin Freeman are expected to return to their previous roles in the fictitious kingdom of Wakanda.

‘Black Panther’ was a cultural whirlwind when it came out in February 2018, presenting one of the first black superheroes ever to grace the big screen.
It became Marvel’s highest-grossing non-Avengers film of all time, earning $1.34 billion worldwide after hitting theatres in 2018.
Black Panther won seven Academy Award nominations, including for best picture (the first superhero movie ever recognised in that category). The film also earned Oscars for score production, costume design, and production design.
‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ is billed to arrive in cinemas on July 8, 2022.
