Hollywood actor and comedian, Kevin Hart has revealed how his teenage daughter reacted to his cheating scandal.
The 41-year-old comedian revealed this during an interview on Red Table Talk, where he spoke to guest host, Will Smith in a Father’s Day edition of the TV show.
In a candid “Red Table Talk” takeover, they broke down stereotypes about Black fathers and share personal confessions about raising kids.

The TV show is typically hosted by Will’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter Willow Smith and her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris.
During the sit-down, Kevin opened up about dealing with his 2017 cheating controversy and how he explained the situation to his 16-year-old daughter, Heaven, who he says was tough on him after cheating on his wife, Eniko Parrish, who was pregnant at the time as reported by Yahoo News.

The father of four, who married Parrish in August 2016, shares Heaven and 13-year-old son Hendrix with ex-wife Torrei Hart and has 3-year-old son, Kenzo and Kaori (8 months).
Recalling how he told his kids, he said:
You know, when me and my wife [Eniko] went through what we went through and the whole cheating display, my talk with Heaven—goddamn. That was one like no other.
You’re never prepared for that side of it. Having a little girl in my life, it’s tough. You don’t realize the impact that your mistakes can truly have. When the kids get involved, it’s a different feeling. My daughter was tough on me, until this day my daughter is tough on me. Getting my daughter to understand that I was sorry, that I made a mistake, that was real. Through my public debacles, I’ve got on some armour. It’s very hard to bother me. But when your child shows disappointment, shows emotion, shows, ‘I don’t understand why,’ and you’ve got to have those conversations, your head drops for the first time. You realize there’s an emotional cord that nobody else has the privileges of ever touching.
While Hart said he’s usually not bothered about what people say about him in the press and on social media, he had to make an effort to understand why it’s not as easy for Heaven to brush things off.
He expressed;
My daughter had a talk with me about her mother that rocked me. “She checked me,” he recalled to Smith. She said, ‘I want you to stop saying because when you say these things, Dad, this and this and this.’ ‘But honey, I don’t mean — I’m just talking.’ ‘It doesn’t matter, Dad.’” “‘But honey, I’m just being myself,’” Hart continued. “Dad, you can’t.”
Hart also opened up about co-parenting with his ex, Torrei Hart, who’s the mother of Heaven and his son Hendrix.
He stated;
I am very lucky to have two amazing mothers. Me and my first wife, we’ve had our ups and downs. But we’re in a great space of understanding.
The 36-year-old model was eight months pregnant with the couple’s first child when the comedian cheated on her.

In September 2017, Kevin posted a public apology on Instagram to Eniko for his “bad error in judgment” and added, “Sending so many apologies to my wife & kids. I gotta do better and I will.”
On Red Table Talk, Kevin also recalled the discussion he had with Heaven about the situation surrounding his resurfaced homophobic tweets, which forced him to step down as host of 2019 Oscars ceremony.
He expressed;
When the whole thing started to happen with the LGBTQ+ community and the misconception of me, and what I was, and what I am, and what I feel, my daughter was so upset because she couldn’t process how people could think this about her father.
And it was so tough because this is when I started to realize how my fame has an impact on my household, right? There’s a certain level of obliviousness.
