88 Days After, Abducted Tegina Islamic School Students Finally Regain Freedom

Abducted students of Islamiyya school in Tegina town, who were kidnapped by armed bandits in Niger State 16 weeks ago, have reportedly been released by their abductors.

It would be recalled that on May 30, the pupils were abducted from the school in Tegina town, Rafi LGA of Niger state.

Following the attack, the bandits demanded N110 ransom to release the students.

The school headmaster, Alhaji Abubakar Alhassan, disclosed this, saying the bandits made contact with the school to demand for the ransom.

A security source told PRNigeria that the students are on their way to Minna en route Kagara from Birnin Gwari.

The Islamiya pupils were held for 88 days, according to the timeline of the days and time they have spent in the bandits’ captivity.
