A US rapper, Dan Sur, has claimed he’s the ‘first rapper in human history’ to have gold chains as hair after he surgically implanted them into his scalp.
This 23-year-old Mexican artiste installed loads of hooks all over his head so that he could attach the chains, MTO News reports.
Sur, since the installation in April been showing off his bizarre new headpiece to his near two million followers on social media.

“The truth is that I wanted to do something different because I see that everyone dyes their hair. I hope not everyone copies me now,” he said in one of the TikTok videos he shared with his 1.9 million followers on the streaming platform.
The reggaeton rapper and producer expressed;
I have it as a hook that is implanted in my head and that hook has hooks and they are all hooked in my skull, under my skin. This is my hair. Golden hair. The first rapper to have gold hair implanted in human history.
Boasting about the new hair seemingly did wonders for the artist as his following has shot up from 12,000 before the operation to 1.9 million on TikTok and tens of thousands more on Instagram.

Sur now racks up millions of views on his TikTok videos, which usually consist of his music clips, footage of him recording new music, playing in the backyard or responding to questions from his fans.
Meanwhile, deep dive into Sur’s Instagram page uncovers the more traditional look he used to sport back in 2019 before his unusual hair-replacement procedure.

Recall that rapper, Lil Uzi Vert went viral earlier this year when he revealed he had spent millions of dollars to acquired and embed an 11-carat pink diamond into his forehead.
The 26-year-old rapper got it surgically implanted but nearly lost it forever during a recent appearance at a music festival.
Uzi claims he jumped into the crowd at last month’s Rolling Loud festival in Miami, and the diamond – which he claims to have bought for $24 million (£17.3m) – was dislodged from his head.
When asked how he was feeling, Uzi told TMZ: “I still have the diamond, so I feel good.”

Since Uzi had the unique piercing done, fans have understandably wondered how safe it is to have such a large and complex piercing so near the brain.
However, speaking to Rolling Stone earlier this year, Simon Babaev, a spokesperson for Eliantte & Co – the jewellers behind the implant – said that actually, it’s as ‘safe as any other piercing‘.
