Abuja Division of Federal High Court has on Wednesday, November 10 adjourned the trial of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu until January 19, 2022.
This was after he appeared before Justice Binta Nyako at a Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday.
Mr Kanu, who has been agitating for the secession of the South-East, was arrested in Nairobi, Kenya, in June.
Kanu is facing terrorism-related charges and has since been detained in the custody of the Department of State Services since his re-arrest from a foreign country in June 2021.
He had pleaded not guilty to seven charges at his last appearance in court on October 21.
The IPOB leader’s lawyers had earlier staged a walkout before the presiding judge after a ecurity operatives prevented Maxwell Opara, one of the lawyers of detained leader of Nnamdi Kanu from entering the court premises.
Also barred from the courtroom include journalists, Igbo traditional leaders, as well as observers and activists.
However, other lawyers of Kanu including Ifeanyi Ejiofor and Aloy Ejimakor were allowed inside the courtroom.
