Kanye West Asks Drake To Join Him On Stage At December Concert To End Years-Long Feud (Video)
American rap mogul, Kanye West has called on his colleague, Drake, to put an end to the years-long feud between them.
The rapper, who is now legally known as Ye, has invited his music foe to appear “as a special guest” at a previously unannounced gig in Los Angeles on December 7.
Ye made this call in a video posted on Instagram by Texas-based music executive, J Prince on Tuesday.
He said;
“This is Ye and J. Prince. I’m making this video to address the ongoing back and forth between myself and Drake. Both me and Drake have taken shots at each other and it’s time to put it to rest” while reading notes from a phone.
West, who is also a heavyweight in the American fashion industry asked Drake to perform with him next month where he would be campaigning for the release of Larry Hoover, who is currently serving several life sentences for murder and running a continuing criminal enterprise.
Ye continued;
I’m asking Drake on December 7 to join me on stage as a special guest to share the two biggest albums of the year live in Los Angeles with the ultimate purpose being to free Larry Hoover. I believe this event will not only bring awareness to our cause but prove to people everywhere how much more we can accomplish when we lay our pride to the side and come together.
Music promoter J Prince penned a lengthy comment to go alongside the video, saying his meeting with the Gold Digger singer was solely by chance.
He wrote;
I met with @kanyewest last night in Htown at the Rothko Chapel. It wasn’t in my plans to meet him there but I must say I’m glad I didn’t allow a worship place for God to detour our meeting. There will come a time in life where we all should embrace the movement thinking, over the moment thinking.
He went on to explain that he met with the star to try to help get Larry Hoover released from prison.
Larry is a gang leader who is serving six life sentences in Colorado.

The gangster’s story is mentioned on Kanye’s latest album Donda. On it, he includes words from his son, Larry Hoover Jr.
Ye’s request comes as a surprise to many after he last week on Noreaga’s Drink Champs podcast stated that he would beat Drake in a VERZUZ battle.
He expressed;
Drake don’t do an outright diss song where it’s a headshot. He’s gonna set it up like war.
Both artistes have been at loggerhead for years and their feud intensified this year when both released their record-breaking albums in which they seemingly took shots at each other.
Ye spammed Drake’s hometown of Toronto with massive billboards advertising DONDA, which then saw Drake retaliate with his own billboards and leak an unreleased of Ye’s.

Ye’s tenth studio album, Donda, had debuted number one on the Billboard 200 with 309,000 equivalent album units in August. While Drake’s Certified Lover Boy, smashed this record as it debuted at Number One on the Billboard 200 chart with 613,000 in September.
The beef weirdly started in 2009 just after Drake called Kanye “the most influential person on his sound“. After Ye cut Drake’s sample verse from the studio version of ‘All of the Lights‘, the two have been going at it ever since.

Then in December 2018, Ye in a Twitter thread expressed his anger against the rapper for following his wife, Kim Kardashian on Instagram.
He also mentioned the fact that Drake seemed to have referred to his wife based on her nickname “Kiki” in his song, In My Feelings.
As at the time of filing this report, Drake was yet to react to Ye’s request.
