Gunmen have on Sunday, December 26 kidnapped a former gubernatorial aspirant of All Progressives Congress (APC), Uche Nwosu.
Nwosu, a son-in-law to former Governor Rochas Okorocha, was whisked away by the abductors who dressed in security uniform at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Eziama in Obaire Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State.
Nwosu and other members of his family were in the church for the outing Service of their late mum, Madam Jemamah Nwosu, who was buried last weekend when he was abducted.
According to eyewitnesses, the gunmen stormed the church while service was still on and shot into the air before bundling him into the trunk of a waiting vehicle.
The state police command is yet to comment on this development.
