Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has on Thursday arrested former Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos state.
According to ChannelsTV, Obiano, who has been on the Commission’s watchlist, was arrested at about 8.30pm.

He was reportedly on his way out of the country to Houston, Texas in the United States.
The latest development comes few hours after he handed over to Chukwuma Charles Soludo was sworn in as the fifth governor of Anambra State in a modest event that took place at the Government House on Thursday.
The former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor took the oath of office alongside his deputy, Onyeka Ibezim.
In his inaugural speech, Soludo promised to hit the ground running, saying some key members of his government will be announced in a few hours.

During the inauguration, there was a drama between Obiano’s wife, Ebelechukwu and Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, leading to a physical fight.
