Recall that back in 2018, Senator Ademola also known as The Dancing Senator contested for the position as PDP candidate but lost to the current Governor, Gboyega Oyetola.
Adeleke ran for Osun state governorship election under PDP against top contenders, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola of APC and Iyiola Omisore of SDP on September 22, 2018.
The election was declared inconclusive by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) and a rerun slated on 27 September 2018.
Later on, candidate of the APC Oyetola was declared winner. However, Adeleke protested the result, describing the election as a “coup“.
On March 22, 2019, the tribunal sitting in Abuja declared Adeleke the winner of the election.

However, Supreme Court later affirmed Gboyega Oyetola as the authentic winner of the 2018 Osun State governorship election on Friday, July 5, 2019.
Not relenting, Senator Ademola recently submitted his gubernatorial nomination form at PDP office, announcing his interest for Osun gubernatorial election again.
However, another member of the Adeleke family who is a nephew to the Senator, Bamidele on December 11 also declared his interest to run for the same position under the same party, causing confusion.
Davido, singer and member of Adeleke family, took to social media to call out his cousin for daring to contest against his uncle.
The singer questioned his cousin’s “intellectual” competence in running for the elective office.
Reacting to the latest news, Dsvido took to his Twitter page to taunt Bamidele saying;
