Award-winning singer, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has donated a music studio to the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
The singer via his verified Instagram account posted a video announcing the launch of a multimillion naira studio for the music department in OAU Ile-Ife.
2Baba further revealed that the next tertiary institution he would open another studio would be at the Benue State University.
The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede, in his welcome address, appreciated the singer.
Ogunbodede revealed that OAU now has the best recording studio in any Nigerian university, thanks to 2Baba.
2baba captioned the video snippet which showed the opening of the studio as;
Some time ago I was honoured by the Great OAU as I was inducted into the school of music as A Fellow Of The School of music.
Today, I just commissioned the multimillion # studio I built for the music department in OAU Ile-Ife. Up next is Benue State University.(sic)

In March 2019, the Nigerian music icon was conferred with the award of the Fellow of the school of music by the Department of Music, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife.
The singer, songwriter, record producer and entrepreneur became the pioneer recipient of the award which was presented to him at the department’s first public lecture and fellowship award.
