Award-winning singer, David Adeleke better known as Davido has revealed that his late mother bought comedian, Mr Macaroni his first phone.
The singer made this known during an interview, saying Mr Macaroni was the one who told him about it and promised to always be there for him because of his mother’s kindness.
Davido’s mother, who was a lecturer at Babcock University, died of cardiac arrest on his father’s birthday in the year 2003.
Mr Macaroni, whose real name is Debo Adedayo, recently disclosed that Davido’s philanthropist father, Adedeji Adeleke, also bought him his first laptop.
He noted that noting that the singer’s father is one of his greatest inspiration because he learned the art of giving and helping others from him.
The comedian further described Dr Deji Adeleke as “a great giver filled with simplicity, humility, and love”.
Mr Macaroni wrote;
If you think Davido is a great giver or is easily accessible, then you need to meet his dad; Dr Deji Adeleke. Dr Adeleke is one of my greatest inspirations. Since the days of SDA Magodo, I learnt the art of giving and helping others from him.
When I first got admission into Uni, Dr Demi Adeleke bought me my first laptop ever. For every time I needed money in school, all it took was for me to send a text message. I abused the access, but he remained kind and generous. God bless you, Chairman, Thank you for everything.
He added;
This is why I rarely get upset when it comes to these matters. Through Chairman, I learnt simplicity, humility, and above all love. This and other reasons is why the love in my heart will forever be greater than the hate in the world. Love always (sic)
