Nigerian Software Engineer Reveals How He Met Wife On LinkedIn While Job Hunting
A Nigerian software engineer identified as Ademola Badmus has taken to microblogging site, Twitter to narrate how he met his wife, Mariam Abubakar on employment-oriented online service, LinkedIn while job hunting.
According to Badmus, he met Mariam, a Nigerian woman who is based in the United Kingdom, on LinkedIn after he reached out to her on the job-seeking sphere.
During their interaction on the platform, Badmus mentioned to Mariam that he had just recently lost his job due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mariam then asked that he forward his curriculum vitae (CV) to her, in case there is a job opening she is aware of.
However, by June 2020, just one month after their first interaction, chats show him already calling her “babe” and planning their life together.
The couple are now married and Ademola has relocated to the United Kingdom to join his wife.
Sharing screenshots of their chats, the husband wrote;
It’s been two years that I went to look for work but left with the boss lady herself. Alhamdulillah Robbil’Alamin.
