Legendary singer, Shakira and her longtime Spanish professional footballer partner, Gerard Piqué have on Saturday, June 4 announced their separation.
The Colombian singer, 45, according to DailyMail, confirmed that she is no longer with her footballer boyfriend, 35, following an 11-year relationship and two children together.

Shakira’s statement read;
We regret to confirm that we are parting ways. For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding.
A separation between the two is imminent though a custody dispute over their children is a problem that looms large.
The latest development comes amid rumors of Pique cheating on the legendary singer. There are also reports of that the couple is currently living separately because Piqué has been unfaithful. One of the first outlets to report the rumors was the video podcast Mamarazzis.
Hosts Lorena Vazquez and Laura Fa said that Piqué was allegedly having an affair with a 20-year-old woman, who is a student and event hostess in Barcelona.
There are also rumors that Piqué cheated on Shakira with the mother of another footballer. The claims sparked countless comments online from people who were shocked at the story.
The power couple had been together since 2011, with the pair having met while filming the music video for her song, “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa),” which was the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup the previous year.
Although they never got married, Sharika and Gerard did welcome two sons, Milan, nine, and Sasha, seven, during their relationship.
After Gerard made his 600th appearance for Barcelona in March, Shakira marked the landmark with a heartfelt post on social media.
