Amaechi To Delegates: Judge Us By Contributions, Not Money Spent
Rotimi Amaechi, the immediate past Minister of Transportation, has implored delegates to judge aspirants by their antecedents, not the amount of money spent.
Amaechi made this call on Tuesday, June 7, at Eagle Square, the venue of the ongoing presidential primaries of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

While some other APC members withdraw from the race, the former minister said;
Don’t vote for me if I am not qualified, I want this to be a referendum on our performance. I am the most experienced of all the candidates. I was elected Speaker of Rivers State House for two terms. And I served as Rivers Governor twice.
I worked with others to ensure to ensure the emergence of PMB. We eradicated crime during my tenure as the Rivers Stae Governor while investing in other sectors.

He expressed;
My expectations is that all those who had spoken should have talked about their antecedents. Judge me by my works. Before my ministerial appointment, railway was moribund but today, there are rail networks across the country so please, delegates, access us by our contributions, not the amount of money spent. Anyone spending money should be asked about their source of income.

Amaechi stated;
If you vote for me, I will create employment. Ask the other aspirants on how they will create employment opportunities. I will ensure a productive economy. Anyone who commits crime will not be let off the hook.
