Aregbesola Felicitates With Bola Tinubu Over His Victory At The Just Concluded Presidential Election

Rauf Aregbesola, Minister of the Federal Ministry of Interior of Nigeria has felicitated with Bola Tinubu over his emergence as the flagbearer of APC 2023 Presidential election.

While expressing his delight over the victory of Bola Tinubu, he said the victory was well fought and well proven for everyone to see in a statement issued on Wednesday, June 8.

Aregbesola was the fourth civilian governor of Osun State from 2010 to 2018 before his appointment as the minister of Interior.

He further said Bola Tinubu is a dogged fighter and quest for establishment for democracy in Nigeria is acknowledged.

He made this felicitation in his tweet on 8th June 2022:

Aregbesola stated;

I write to felicitate with you on your hard fought victory at the just concluded Presidential Primary election of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

You have demonstrated once again that you are a dogged fighter and in your quest for the establishment of a democratic society, you are willing to go the whole hog.

It is my prayer that you will ride on the crest of the momentum of this triumph to lead our party to victory in next year’s General Elections.

On behalf of my family and our associates, I heartily congratulate you on this well deserved victory.

Earlier, Tinubu was announced as victor on Wednesday, June 8, in a keenly-contested primaries during the special convention of the ruling party at the Eagle Square in the nation’s capital, Abuja.

A total of 2,322 ad-hoc delegates were drawn from the 35 states and FCT to participate in the primary to elect the APC flag bearer out of the aspirants jostling for the ticket. However, only 2,203 delegates were accredited to vote.

Tinubu polled 1,271 votes to emerge as the clear victor.
