Breaking: Senator Rochas Okorocha Joins 2023 Presidential Race

Rochas Okorocha, a former Imo State Governor and presidential aspirant, has aimed a dig at other presidential aspirants during the ongoing primaries of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Okorocha made this assertion on Tuesday, June 7, during his speech at the Abuja Eagle Square venue of the convention.

The former Imo State Governor urged other aspirants to step down the sufferings of Nigerians; rather than engage in politicking.

Okorocha stated;

All this dramatic political jingoism which is going on does not address the matter plaguing the country. Don’t step down for me, step down the suffering of Nigerians.

I am the commander of free education. The truth is everyone contesting were made by the Government; but I was Rochas before politics and can create wealth for Nigerians.

Okorocha further detailed how he could have missed the primaries, if it was held at the earlier scheduled May 30 date due to his legal tussles with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

If this convention had taken place on May 30, I would not be able to attend because I was in detention. I am not priviledge to be one of those who made the preferred list. I am just an ordinary Nigerian who is my strength.

Power is a trust which must be used for the benefit of the common man; and this nation must get it right.

Earlier, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a leading presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), had committed to make Nigeria undivided and unified.

Tinubu pledged to delegates at the party’s ongoing national convention in Abuja, on Tuesday, June 7. He said he would address the country’s current insecurity situation.

President Muhammadu Buhari has shown the wherewithal to properly administrate the country, according to Tinubu.
