Sharon Ooja Reacts To Hostile ‘Glamour Girls’ Reception, Reveals She Took Ill
Nigerian actress, Sharon Ooja has addressed those who have been criticizing the newly released re-make version of the 1994 Nollywood classic, Glamour Girls.
Sharon Ooja played the role of Emmanuella in the Glamour Girls movie that premiered on the streaming platform, Netflix on Friday, June 24.
In an Instagram post shared on Tuesday, the actress detailed how she fell ill during principal photography which lasted months.

The actress wrote on her Instagram;
I played Emmanuel in glamour girls the movie and I am here to tell you our labour of love glamour girls is still showing on Netflix and trending worldwide
I know how much effort we all put into this I mean every single person; In fact, I know how much effort I put into this… months and months of filming, falling sick in between, struggling to stay sane…I am grateful for all the love I truly am, and as a team we are grateful for all the love and also all the criticism… Please keep watching and keep spreading the news…this is Nigeria to the world.

Despite the onslaught of negative reviews, the movie has pushed impressive records, topping Netflix global charts in 16 countries including Nigeria where it takes the number one spot; number two in Kenya and four South Africa.
Earlier, Charles Okpaleke, the founder of Play Network Studio addressed those who gave the movie a negative review.
His statement reads;
A huge shoutout to the other self-proclaimed Nollywood filmmakers and critics, who have produced numerous movies in the heads; won awards with them and even climbed the stage to make speeches, but are yet to produce any in reality. We see you, we are rooting for you! A win for one is a win for all
