Babajide Obanikoro, the lawmaker representing the Eti-Osa Constituency of Lagos State in the House of Representatives in a recent interview with Punch Newspaper has revealed that he is not threatened by People Democratic Party‘s (PDP) candidate, Bankole Wellington popularly known as Banky W in the coming nomination House of Representatives election.
In 2019, Banky W failed to emerge in the ticket to emerge as a member of the House of Representatives. He will be contesting again against Obanikoro in 2023.
Speaking in a new interview session, the lawmaker representing the Eti-Osa Constituency of Lagos State in the House of Representatives stated that he is confident that he will emerge victorious once again.
He bragged about his achievement, Obanikoro stated;
I am very confident that the performance we have put in over the last three years and one month today; would guarantee us a second term. It was an unprecedented performance for a first-term legislature.

The lawmaker went on to unravel some of his achievements;
I have facilitated seven roads, two health care centres, three schools; lighted up over 10 roads with solar street lights, installed a 300KVA transformer for the Falomo community; provided a free school bus ride for children; empowered well over 500 constituents with a cash grant to enhance their business capital; secured employment for four constituents within both government and the private sector; and so many more that I can go on and on about. On the floor of the House, I have moved seven motions, and three bills are awaiting second reading.

Speaking about Banky W, Obanikoro stated that he is confident to emerge victorious in the coming 2023 election.
He had this to say;
I don’t want to come across as arrogant, but with the work done so far and the efforts we (APC) are still going to put in, I am confident that I will emerge victorious in February 2023.
