Renowned Nigerian musician and social activist, Charles Oputa who is better known as Charly Boy has written about how Labour Party‘s president candidate, Peter Obi has inspired youths in the country to become politically aware.
Charly Boy who is also nicknamed the Area Fada composed the eulogy on Friday, July 15 through his verified Twitter Handle.
In his post, he appreciated God for providing an alternative to people he described as poisonous.

Oputa writing in pidgin English said:
“Thank God ooo, so if Peter Obi no comot come join this race, we would have been left with sniper and otapiapia. Tufiakwa. Hmmm! A miracle working God.”

There are insinuations that Charly Boy was referring to the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and that of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Sniper is a poisonous chemical brew, used to kill insects and pests, while otapiapia is the local name for mosquito killer. Both substances are known to be dangerous to health.
Oputa has never hidden his support for Mr Peter Obi in the presidential aspiration and has consistently stated that Obi’s aspiration is a youth movement.
