American-born Nigerian model, Fancy Acholonu has issued a public apology for the choice of words she used while announcing her separation from former fiancé Alex Ekubo.
While announcing their split, Fancy had written, “Everyone should find their happiness and live in their truth“.
Several fans and casual followers of the couple interpreted it to mean Alex is a closeted gay.

Fancy has now explained that it wasn’t the message she was trying to pass across and she apologized for giving that impression.
She added that Alex has apologized for what he did that led to the end of their engagement and she has apologized for her reaction.

In 2021, Fancy took to her Instagram page on Thursday, August 26, where she revealed that she has ended her relationship and engagement with the movie star.
She wrote;
“Hey guys, I am writing to inform you all officially that I have ended my relationship and engagement and I have called off the wedding with Alex Ekubo.
I am aware this may be a shock to many people.
I made the best decision for myself, because it is important that everyone finds happiness and live in their truth.
At this time, my family and I ask for you all to please respect our privacy.
