Pastor Poju Oyemade, the senior pastor and founder of The Covenant Nation (formerly the Covenant Christian Center) has taken down his tweet pertaining to the coming 2023 general election.

The minister in his now-deleted admonished Nigerian youths not to “waste their enthusiasm on poorly planned projects“.

What’s seems like an subtle shade at Labour Party‘s presidential candidate, Peter Obi failed to resonate properly with Nigerians on social media.

Pastor Oyemade‘s tweet also infuriated supporters of Peter Obi and Nigerian youths after it was perceived that he was strategically endorsing the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate and flagbearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu after his tweets campaigning for President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 surfaced on social media.

The tweet reads;

The tweets came after many politicians have argued that Obi will not win the 2023 presidential election because he lacks ‘political structure’.

However, despite that Pastor Poju did not mention Obi’s name, the supporters of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate took offence to the cleric’s message.
