Tems, Burna Boy Make Barack Obama’s Summer Playlist
Barack Obama, the former president of the United States of America has included Afrobeat superstars, Tems, Burna Boy, Buju and Pheelz on his 2022 summer playlist.
Obama published the list on his Instagram platform on Tuesday evening.
Specifically, he included Tems‘ ‘Vibe out‘ from her sophomore extended play (EP) project, If Orange Was A Place released in 2020. He also added Burna Boy‘s smash hit, ‘Last last‘ from his newly released seventh studio album, Love, Damini.
On the second slide of the same post, Buju (also known as BNXN) and music producer, Pheelz‘s collaboration, ‘Finesse‘ appeared on the playlist.

Barack Obama included other international superstars such as Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar on the list.
Publishing his top summer playlist on Instagram, Obama captioned his post;
“Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies—it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together.
Here’s what I’ve been listening to this summer. What songs would you add?”

In other news, Tems recently disclosed that her mother was the woman who featured in the classic Royco advert in the early 2000s.
An old tweet of Tems from 2018 resurfaced online after she reacted to a popular Royco advert from the 90s.
A tweep had shared a clip of the popular advert in 2017 and Tems shocked many when she revealed that her mother was the woman in the popular advert.
The singer replied to the tweep’s tweet in 2018 and that singular action placed her family in the spotlight.
