Yul Edochie Queries Those Indulging In ‘Shettima Challenge’
Renowned Nigerian thespian, Yul Edochie has cautioned netizens who are indulging in the ‘Shettima Challenge’ across social media.
The Nollywood thespian stated that Nigerian youths should do something worthwhile with their time and desist from making mockery of elites of the country.
On Monday, Moji Delano reported that Kashim Shettima, the running mate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu raised eyebrows on social media over his wardrobe mishap at the 62nd Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Lagos.
He was ridiculed for how he dressed and composed himself during the conference. Social media users have since decided to create the ‘Shettima Challenge‘ where they pose to imitate the former Borno State governor.
While several netizens are entertaining themselves with the newest social media trend, Yul Edochie, the son of the veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie has slammed youths who are indulging in the challenge.
The actor stated that youths should begin to involve themselves with something more enlightening and educational. Yul went on to advise Nigerians to instead engage in a ‘Peter Obi‘ challenge so they can develop themselves and become more proficient in their field.

Edochie had this to say;
“Now I’m seeing Shettima challenge everywhere.
People wearing suit & sneakers.
Nigerian youths.
Trivialities all the time.
Why can’t you do Peter Obi challenge?
Challenge yourselves to be educated like Peter, to speak and be intelligent like Peter.
Una no go see that one do.”
