Ahmed Halilu has been appointed managing director of the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company, NSPMC Plc, with the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari, according to the DAILY NIGERIAN.
Following Abbas Masanawa’s retirement from the corporation on May 16, Mr. Halilu, an older brother of First Lady Aisha Buhari, has been serving in that position.
Godwin Emefiele, the governor of the Central Bank and chairman of the NSPMC board, recommended the appointment, which the president confirmed.

Mr. Halilu has more than 23 years of experience in the banking sector, having held positions with Zenith Bank Plc., African International Bank Limited, and AIB.
He was a participant of Senior Executive Course 39, 2017 of the National Institute for Policy & Strategic Studies Kuru, Jos leading to the award of Member of the National Institute, mni.
Mr Halilu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture B. (Agric), Masters in Business Administration as well a Masters in International Affairs & Diplomacy all from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
He is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, NIM.
