Tinubu said his administration would ensure the reduction of waste in the civil services if he succeeds Buhari in 2023.

The document reads in part;

We will continue the work of the current administration in reforming the civil service to fight corruption, reduce bureaucracy, streamline agencies and decrease inefficiency and waste.

Earlier, President Muhammadu Buhari vowed to lead the charge in selecting the former governor of Lagos State as his successor, noting that doing so would significantly strengthen the accomplishments of his administration.

He claimed that Tinubu, the party’s presidential nominee, speaks volumes since he is capable of doing more and has demonstrated a track record of visionary leadership.

The COVID-19 pandemic, extremely low international oil prices, and poor revenues, among other unfavourable circumstances, the President claimed, but the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration has “managed to make Nigeria stable,” creating a strong platform for progressive growth.
