Hushpuppi: Uche Jombo Demands 50 Cent Features Nigerian Actor In Lead Role Of Upcoming Series Based On Life Of Internet Fraudster
A television series based on the life of convicted internet fraudster, Hushpuppi whose real name is Abbas Ramoni is currently in works.
The announcement was made by American entertainment polymath, 50 Cent via his Instagram platform on Wednesday night.
Making the announcement, he wrote;
“For my scammers I gotta do this one, Hushpuppy series coming soon ! GLG🚦GreenLightGang i don’t miss”

Since the announcement, numerous Nigerians and celebrities alike have reacted to the development. Among them is leading Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo.
che Jombo, has requested that American rapper, 50 Cent, cast a Nigerian actor as the main character in his upcoming Hushpuppi series.
She said this in a comment she made on 50 Cent’s Instagram page on Wednesday.
50 Cent announced plans to release a series based on Hushpuppi, who was imprisoned for 11 years for defrauding over 1.9 million people.

Jumbo commented on his post requesting for a Nigerian actor. She said, “Please give a Nigerian actor the opportunity to play this character.”
Equally important, Ebonylife and Universal Studios have also acquired the rights to the convicted internet fraudster’s story.
Prior to 50 Cent’s news, Universal Pictures, Will Packer Productions, and Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife acquired the rights to the Bloomberg article “The Fall of the Billionaire Gucci Master,” about the Instagram influencer Hushpuppi in 2021.
