Ifeanyi Adeleke: Nanny, Cook Of Late Davido’s Son Detained In Police Custody

Ifeanyi Adeleke, the son of Nigerian recording artiste, Davido and his partner, Chioma Rowland passed away on Monday, October 31.

According to reports reaching MDB, the nanny and personal cook of the deceased have been detained as police release six other arrested domestic workers.

The Lagos State Police Command has released six out of the eight domestic workers arrested in connection with the tragic demise of singer Davido’s son, Ifeanyi.

The workers were brought in for questioning on Tuesday, November 1, after the three years old drowned in the family’s pool in Banana Island.

While six of the workers were released after questioning, the little boy’s nanny and cook were, however, detained.

This was disclosed by the command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, in a chat with Instablog9ja.

“I spoke with the DPO and he said the nanny and the cook have been detained. Other domestic workers brought in for questioning were released,” he said.

According to reports, Ifeanyi died in the swimming pool at his father’s home in the Banana Island neighborhood of Lagos State.

After being taken from the pool, the three-year-old boy was reportedly transferred to a hospital in the Lekki district of the state, where one of the attending physicians verified his death.

The victim’s family still hadn’t responded to the unfortunate turn of events.

However, Nigerians—especially fans of entertainment—have been incensed and traumatized by the development ever since the news of Ifeanyi’s alleged death became public knowledge.
