Sammie Okposo: Family Confirms Demise Of Gospel Artiste
The family of the revered Nigerian Christian musician, Sammie Okposo have released a statement on Friday to confirm his unfortunate demise.
In a statement signed by a relative, Hector Okposo, it was confirmed that the award-winning musician died on Friday morning.
In the statement, however, the family did not reveal the cause of Sammie’s death.
It read, “It is with a heavy heart but with total submission to God that I announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, Minister of God, Sammie Okposo.”

The statement reads further;
“Sammie slept and went to be with the Lord on the morning of Friday, November 25, 2022.
“More details about the burial will be communicated soon.
“We are consoled because we know that he is with Jesus singing with angels. We kindly request that the family is allowed to grieve peacefully at this time.”

Earlier, MDB reported that the singer slumped and was eventually pronounced dead on Friday morning.
The Wellu Wellu master, as he was fondly called, was an internationally-recognized music producer, psalmist, and CEO of Zamar Entertainment.
His most recent album, The Statement (2018), was produced by the Grammy-winning Kevin Bond.
Okposo is one of the most decorated recording artistes in the Nigerian entertainment industry and one of the most influential in the gospel realm.
He is survived by his wife and kids.
