After a drab first half that finished goalless, England fired all cylinders in the second half of the game.
First, a stunning freekick from Marcus Rashford opened the scoring and quickly annihilated any hopes of the Welsh national team qualifying for the next round of the competition.

98 seconds after the first goal went in, Phil Foden benefited from captain Harry Kane‘s assist. The second goal confirmed that England will finish as the winners of the group and would advertently make Wales’ task of reaching the next round herculean.
Rashford scored his second goal and third in the tournament so far to give England their third goal for the night before he was taken off.
There was no fairy tale story for the resurgent Iranian national team side as they bow 1-0 to the United States of America in a fiercely contested affair.
Christian Pulisic‘s goal in the first half was enough to earn the Americans a ticket to the second of the competition.
