Drake Loses $1million World Cup 2022 Bet After Argentina Beat France In Penalties
Canadian rapper Drake has lost another big-money bet after he placed $1million on Argentina to beat France in normal time in the World Cup final. Drake’s bet failed as the match finished level at 2-2 at the end of 90 minutes at the Lusail Stadium.
Unfortunately for France, Argentina took the title after securing a 4-2 shootout victory with Gonzalo Montiel striking the decider.
Canadian rapper Drake, 36, revealed on Instagram on December 17 that he had backed Lionel Messi and Argentina to defeat France in the last match of the tournament.

In a video, the Hotline Bling singer was seen discussing World Cup bets with a friend with each of them sharing who they want to place their money on.
‘I’ll take Argentina, he’ll take France,’ Drake said. ‘We’ll make that happen, that’ll be a vibe.’
The rapper posted the bet on Instagram. The wager would have given him returns of $2.75million had Argentina triumphed within 90 minutes at the Lusail Stadium.
Unfortunately, though, it seems the artist will not be collecting a single penny as Argentina drew with France at full-time.
The Canadian has placed a series of mammoth bets on sporting events in recent months.
He lost over $2 million betting on former UFC champion Israel Adesanya to defend his title against Alex Pereira last month.
A previous football bet saw Drake place $649,000 on an accumulator featuring Barcelona to win El Clasico against Real Madrid and Arsenal to beat Leeds.
Arsenal recorded a 1-0 win over Leeds in the Premier League, but Barcelona was beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid.
Drake also wagered $230,000 on Charles Leclerc to win the Spanish Grand Prix this year, only for the Ferrari driver to suffer engine failure.
