Lecrae, American Gospel Artiste Names Self, ‘Adewale Obinna’ During First Visit To Nigeria
American gospel artiste, Lecrae Moore has traced his heritage to Africa and precisely Nigeria.
The popular rapper made this known in an Instagram post during his visit to Nigeria on Friday, December 16.
Following his recent epiphany, the ‘Fanatic‘ rapper gave himself a mixture of Yoruba and Igbo names, after finding out his ancestors came from Nigeria.

The Christian artiste said that his Nigerian name is ‘Adewale Obinna,‘ after visiting Nigeria for a concert.
He said a DNA test carried out shows his ancestors came from Nigeria and that he has experienced love and kindness like no other while visiting Nigeria.

The popular Christian rapper had this to say;
“First time in Nigeria. My DNA test confirms this is one of the countries my ancestors were brought from. I have experienced love like none other. Care, kindness, grace, and love.
I came here as LECRAE.
But my Nigerian name is
Adewale Obinna”
