The MDB Music playlist for the week would be unraveling ten songs that debuted in the opening weeks of 2023.
Though the year is still young, the Nigerian entertainment industry has gotten into an impressive swing. Earlier in the week, Nigerian Afrobeat icon, Wizkid announced that he will be touring with his contemporary, Davido, the news was well received by fans of both artistes.
With that announcement, it is apparent that 2023 would continue the dissemination of the Afrobeat culture across the world.

Another artiste who got off to an impeccable start to the year is Tems.
The 27-year-old songstress could not hide her excitement after American Hip Hop icon, Snopp Dogg stated that he was a big fan of the ‘leading vibe’ and would like to work with her.

Afrobeats music producer, Kel-P has released the music video for his first solo single titled, “One More Night.”
4. Seyi Vibez– Chance (Na Ham)
Fledgling Nigerian recording artiste, Seyi Vibez commenced 2023 with the official video of his smash hit “Chance (Na Ham)“
5. Minz– Wowo
In the opening week of 2023, fast-rising Nigerian musician, Minz released the visualizer to his captivating single “Wo Wo”, produced by Mike Bgrz and shot by Esiri Ogbekene.

6. Show Dem Camp x Oxlade– Mine Alone
Nigerian rap duo Show Dem Camp have dropped the video to their feel-good love song “Mine Alone,” featuring Oxlade. “Mine Alone” is a song off their latest musical project titled “Palmwine Music 3.”
7. Ric Hassani– My Only Baby
Though the single, ‘My Only Baby’ was released in 2022, Ric Hassani released the music video in the opening part of 2023.
