Nigerian actress, Mercy Johnson has denounced reports that she is battling cancer.
In a recent Instagram post, the renowned movie actress was seen in a video thanking her fans for showing concern with regard to her health.
The film star also clarified that her statement on the latest episode of ‘Mercy’s Menu‘, her cooking show, was taken out of context and completely misunderstood.
Mercy stressed that she only had problems with her thyroid, adding that she is not diagnosed with cancer.

“Thank you so much for all of you who have been calling and sending messages and prayers. Thank you, I do appreciate it so much but I do not have cancer in Jesus name,” the actress said.
“I said I had a cancer scare. It means I had the swelling on my neck and my doctors felt it was something serious… and I have problems with my thyroid but I’m perfectly okay.”
