EFCC Seizes Actress’ Property For Tampering With Dissemination Of New Naira Notes
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released a statement to announce the arraignment of socialite and movie actress, Oluwadarasimi Omoseyin who was arrested on Wednesday, February 3 by operatives of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), for allegedly tampering with the dissemination of new naira notes.
EFCC operatives also seized a Range Rover and iPhone belonging to the actress, as items recovered from her.
This was as operatives of the Lagos zonal command of the EFCC commenced investigation into the matter, noting that it is an offence contrary to Section 21 (5) of the Central Bank of Nigeria Act, 2007.

The 31-year-old was arrested after the video of her spraying and stepping on the newly redesigned naira notes at a party surfaced online.
In the viral video, she was also seen flaunting wads of the new naira notes.
According to a statement by the EFCC on Friday, the suspect was subsequently handed over to the EFCC on Thursday, for further investigations.

The EFCC said, “Items recovered from her at the point of arrest include a Range Rover and iPhone mobile devices.
“The suspect will be charged to court once investigations have been concluded.”
