Joao Mendes, the 17-year-old son of Brazilian football icon, Ronaldinho will join the Spanish football outfit, Barcelona.
This was officially confirmed on the social media platform on renowned international journalist, Fabrizio Romano.
In a statement published on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon, Romano mentioned that Joao Mendes emerged successful in the trial for the Barcelona team and would join his father’s old club in the near future.

Also speaking to the news platform, RAC1, the Brazilian legend said his son would be joining Barcelona, where he holds an ambassadorial role.
Ronaldinho said, “I am never out of the club. Barcelona is part of my life. Wherever I go, I take Barcelona with me. With the arrival of my son at Barça I will be more present.”
“Yes, he is coming now. With his arrival, I will be more present than ever.”
Joao Mendes is currently at Cruzeiro in Brazil but has been on trial at Barcelona for the past few weeks.
