“I Want To Know How Many Igbos Are More Successful Than Me In This Country,” Asari Dokubo, a major political figure of the Ijaw ethnic group in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria stated during a Facebook live session.
Asari Dokubo spoke about the Igbos during his live session.
Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “they said I am envious of igbos but I want to know how many igbos are more successful than me (in this country).” He added, “if we are to judge being successful by houses, is there any igbo who has houses more than me?”

Speaking further, he said, “I think I am fairing better than most of them in terms of money, children and the likes. I cannot deny that I have Igbo blood in me. That is one of the reasons I am ashamed of how some igbos behave in other people’s land.”

Lastly, the former militant said, “some igbos are saying that Lagos state is a no man’s land and I am against such a claim. Igbos need to learn how to respect and honour their hosts. Enugu and Owerri are owned by people but when it comes to Lagos, they say it is a no man’s land.“
