Funke Akindele Loses Polling Unit As Jandor Defeats Sanwo-Olu, Rhodes-Vivour At His
Funke Akindele, the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the ongoing governorship election in Lagos State has lost her polling unit 019, Ita Aro square, Àga/Ijimu ward in Ikorodu, Lagos State to the incumbent governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to the results collated from the polling unit, PDP secured a total of 19 votes while APC scored 77 votes. Labour Party polled 3 votes.
Meanwhile, the gubernatorial candidate in Lagos state, Abdul-Azeez Adediran aka Jandor, defeated his closest rivals, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party and the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at his polling unit in Osolu Junior High School, Unit 001 ward G in Irewe, Ojo Local Government Area of the state.

In the results collated by INEC officials, Adediran polled a total of 79 votes to defeat Sanwo-Olu who secured 66 votes while Rhodes-Vivour secured only one vote. In the House of Assembly election, PDP polled 81 votes against 76 polled by the APC, as the Labour Party polled only one vote.

Earlier, MDB reported that the incumbent state governor, Sanwo-Olu defeated Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour at his polling unit.
Sanwo-Olu, who is vying for a second term in office, defeated his co-contenders with 29 votes.
Rhodes-Vivour received 18 ballots, while Peoples Democratic Party candidate Olajide Adeniran, also known as Jandor, polled two votes.
