Leading Nigerian actress and deputy governorship candidate in Lagos State, Funke Akindele, has broken another record in the Nollywood industry with the recent movie, ‘Battle On Buka Streets’.
MDB reports that with the latest achievement, the Jenifa’s Diary actress has proven that she is her only competition.
According to FilmOne, ‘Battle On Buka Street’ produced by Funke has hit N640 million in its total gross earnings at the box office, officially surpassing a previous record.

The politician’s movie ‘Omo Ghetto: The Saga’ used to hold the record at N636 million before the recent film surpassed it.
Battle On Buka Street which was released in December 2022, tells the story of two women who found themselves at loggerheads when they set up a food business on the same street causing commotion and rivalry between their families.

It featured actors such as Bimbo Ademoye, Funke Akindele, Mercy Johnson-Okojie, Nkem Owoh, Sola Sobowale, Tina Mba, and Tobi Makinde.
